- Proposition 8 in California was passed by the citizens of that State to uphold traditional marriage between a man and a woman; and
- DOMA the Defense of Marriage Act, was passed by the US Congress, which of course, upholds the idea that marriage is between a man and a woman. The idea proposed by homosexual activists is that DOMA is unconstitutional
One of the arguments that we, who believe in traditional marriage have to face, is that our position depends solely upon 'religious belief'.
Of this, the purveyors of the homosexual stance are mistaken:
Yeit is not just religious belief that is framing the argument; but this principle is based upon the belief that God established Marriage between a man and a woman, and that this indeed is what God said.
"Therefore shall a man leave his father and mother and cleave unto his wife. They shall be one flesh" Genesis 2:24--The Holy Bible (King James Version)
